Enjoy this sweet and refreshing beverage made with cinnamon and rice all summer long!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of uncooked rice
  • ¼ cup almonds
  • 6 cups of water
  • 2-4 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 ½ cups of coconut milk
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla
  • ½ cup of sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon powder
Lao-Style Pho

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Soak uncooked rice, almonds, cinnamon sticks and 3 cups of water in a bowl, overnight.
  2. Blend soaked mixture in a blender.
  3. Strain blended mixture into a pitcher.
  4. Add 3 more cups of water, coconut milk, and vanilla.
  5. Add sugar and ground cinnamon to liking.
  6. Serve with ice.
