Vegans avoid animal ingredients such as “meat,” eggs, dairy, and honey, all of which are products of suffering and exploitation. Fortunately, many foods from Mexican culture, such as rice, beans, and fruits, are naturally vegan, and many traditional dishes do not call for animal-based ingredients.
